Delete your account

Within the App

Open The Dive Journal and sign in.
Go to Settings › Delete account.
If you wish to keep a copy of your dives, select the export option, then confirm the deletion.

Without the App

Send a request to info@otterseas.com from the email address registered to your account. We will confirm receipt by email and delete the account as described below.

Subscriptions. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions must be cancelled separately in your Apple ID subscription settings or in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions.

Data that is deleted

A deleted account is retained for 30 days, during which signing in will restore it. After this period, the following is permanently deleted:

your account, email address and profile;
all dive records, sightings, notes and photographs;
your Credential Wallet, emergency contacts, insurance details, highlights, milestones, equipment and checklists;
your settings, plan records and any Pro programme or referral records.

Medical details are stored on your device only and are removed when the App is deleted.

Data that is retained

Anonymous, aggregated community statistics, which cannot identify you.
Verified dive sites you submitted, without any link to you.

To delete part of your data while keeping your account, use Settings › Delete all dive data, or delete individual dives from your logbook.
